The impulse is to hit that reply all button and start an email ping pong game. Instead, use a different medium of communication. That means making a phone call or scheduling a meeting. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen someone hit that reply all button and type away like they are on Facebook or Twitter. E-mail is not like social media and it is not something you should treat as though what you write only has social impact. Pro-tip: It is ok to give it some time before you talk to the person but send a message that explains this is what you would like to do. Copy paste if you like: “Thank you for your e-mail. I really want to address the issues you have raised here. I think it is probably best if we talk over the phone or meet. Can I get back to you soon with some prospects?”
